A truly exceptional dressage prospect! As can be seen in his video, Walter shows remarkable natural ability and moves from an amazingly forward yet elevated trot to passage way above the ground and back again with ease. Take careful note of his very quick hindquarters and the fact that they are right underneath him carrying his weight perfectly. Quality piaffe is virtually assured with his heritage and this clear demonstration of his uphill balance. Apart from his sensationally forward and elevated movement Walter has a wonderful confident temperament and is very friendly and interested in talking to everyone he meets! He is a real personality with outstanding presence. 'Walter' is by the internationally renowned supersire Weltmeyer out of Risqué who is by Regardez Moi. Walter is a full sister to Aurum Weltelina who was a most stunning foal from the 2007/8 crop. Weltmeyer of course needs no introduction to dressage enthusiasts. He is almost certainly the most famous dressage stallion of the modern age! Walter's dam Risqué is by Regardez Moi (see Aurum Revoir for more details), an exciting Grand Prix horse who needs no introduction in Australia. Risqué is out of a Salute mare, Slinky, who was in turn out of Lynx, a full sister to Londoner, Australian Inter I champion (Heath Ryan) as a 6 year old, then Grand Prix winner with Olympian Mary Hanna. With the combination of Weltmeyer and Risqué's super pedigree you can expect movement to burn as is evidenced here as well as excellent trainability. This is a virtually guaranteed top level Grand Prix dressage horse if ever there was one!
