| 'Harry' is our third foal by Hewey aka Aurum Remarquable, out of Better Pine. Aurum Remarquable is now sadly no longer with us, so the few foals we managed to produce this season are all that will ever be available. Harry is quite a fellow. Another foal to inherit his dad's stunning looks, he has a ton of presence as well as serious elevated, forward movement. He has a quiet, pleasant, willing personality. His paternal grandfather, Regardez Moi, is of course making serious Grand Prix statements in Australian dressage right now. Also via his sire Aurum Remarquable, Harry accesses the outstanding Flooding jumping blood we like here at Aurum. This is no impediment to top class movement as our stallion Aurum Rivière d'Or amply demonstrates. Harry's dam Better Pine is a Hanoverian registered ASB mare. Her pedigree includes the influential sire Precipitation as well as Court Martial, Bay Ronald, Dark Ronald, Son In Law and very interestingly, Tamerlane. Tamerlane and his sire Persian Gulf, both greatly influenced German warmblood breeding as did Bay Ronald through his son Dark Ronald. Better Pine produced the outstanding Jive Magic filly Aurum Jive Princess for us two seasons ago and we gave her a year off since she's getting on. Piney has a couple of previous foals performing well in early dressage classes now including Matavia Genevieve. With this pedigree we would expect Harry to excel in dressage and eventing alike. If he's half as tough as his father he'll be a great competitor! |
